AI can compress the distance between an idea and a working page. It does not remove the need to decide what the page is for, who it serves, or what quality means.
Day one: choose one job
Write the single action the site should help a visitor complete. Remove features that do not support it.
Days two and three: establish the system
Choose typography, spacing, color, navigation, and a small component vocabulary before generating a pile of disconnected screens.
Days four and five: build the real paths
Use realistic content. Complete forms, validation, empty states, links, and mobile behavior instead of polishing only the homepage.
Day six: test what the prompt missed
Navigate with a keyboard, check headings and contrast, resize the viewport, and follow every primary path. AI-generated code still needs ordinary product testing.
Day seven: cut and ship
Remove unused dependencies and ornamental interactions. A small site you understand is a stronger starting point than a large one you cannot safely change.
